Junior Mallory Pugh is the latest candidate making a case for Gatorade National Girls Soccer Player of the Year.
The midfielder and forward missed the Golden Eagles’ first three games of the season because she was in Spain with the U.S. Soccer Under-20 Women’s National Team, scoring both goals in a 2-0 win over Norway in a friendly match at the 10 Nations Tournament.
Pugh has also verbally committed to UCLA.
The announcement for the national winner will be made in the week of May 18, 2015.
