Welcome to Homecoming week! The theme for this year is Vista Empire.

Starting the week off is Gladiator Day so it is Jersey Out and the Junior/Senior girls will be wearing their Power Puff Jerseys. Athletic events tonight will be Varsity Softball, Unified Kickball vs MVHS Lacrosse before the Powderpuff game. An In-N-Out Food Truck will be outside the stadium before/during the Unifed game so bring cash to the game.

Tuesday is Battle of the Ancient Gods so Seniors will dress out in white for Zeus, Juniors blue for Poseidon, Sophomores yellow for Apollo, and Freshmen red for Aphrodite. The chili cookoff will occur followed by Mr. Vista later in the evening. The varsity boys’ soccer team also has a game.

Wednesday is Greek Week so dress up as Greek life (Sorority + Fraternity). There will be a another Varsity Softball game followed by Dodgeball in the gym.

Thursday is Citizens of Vista with Toga Out (White clothes). Taste of Vista will happen during lunch and after school there will be a girls’ field hockey game and girls’ volleyball at Thunder Ridge. The bonfire and various performances will be up on the Vista turf field later Thursday evening.

Friday is Welcome to the Underworld with blackout. The homecoming assembly will happen during the school day and a softball game will occur after school. A big tailgate will happen before the Homecoming football game against Valor will occur at Halftime Help stadium.

Last but not least, there’s the homecoming dance at Coors Field on Saturday . Wear your best dance attire for the Final Colosseum. This is the perfect weekend to have fun, make memories with your friends and get involved in all things Vista.
