Colorado ranks No. 1 when it comes to theater, music, museum visits.
While this is considered a great achievement, the Denver Art Museum still wants to educate and attract more and more people, particularly children.
With this in mind, the Denver Art Museum has announced it’s “FREE for KIDS” Program starting March 25, 2015 until March, 2020.
This program allows all kids 18 and under free admission into the Denver Art Museum, caps admission to special, ticketed exhibitions a $5 for youth, and more.
During the press conference to announce the program, Denver mayor Michael Hancock claimed that over one hundred thousand kids will benefit.
“Culture is the heart if this city,” Hancock said. “We want to continue to keep kids engaged and involved.”
Reaction from elementary school student journalists in attendance was positive.
“I think it’s great and it will help students learn about art around the world for cheap,” Hannah Krueger said.
