With the school year fast approaching to an end, it is time to begin thinking about summer plans. Movies are always fun to include in those plans, and there are plenty of exciting ones coming out this summer. We think these are five of the best:

Spiderman: Far from Home

Release date: July 5

Following the success of Spider-Man Homecoming, this much anticipated sequel is sure to be amazing. With humor and something else, this movie should take the viewer on a thrilling journey!

The Lion King

Release date: July 19

Twenty five years after the release of the animated Disney classic, the 2019 remake utilizes CGI technology to create a magical experience for the viewers. Big names such as Donald Glover and Beyoncé star as voice actors.

Toy Story 4

Release date: June 21

The release of this movie is monumental because it marks the first Toy Story movie in nine years. This movie will surely provide a nostalgic experience for many viewers, with original characters and a new exciting plot.

Dark Phoenix

Release date: June 7

Dark Phoenix should provide an interesting look at the character of Jean Grey, and her spiral into darkness. This new movie has a lot of potential to create an entertaining and intriguing story.

Godzilla: King of the Monsters

Release date: May 31

This movie may be terrible or it may be good, but nonetheless it is worth giving it a chance this summer. The movie follows a group of people and their struggle to survive the wrath of Godzilla and other monsters.
