The Mountain Vista Marching Band kicked off its season with the annual Littleton Western Welcome Week Parade in downtown Littleton. The band, lead by junior Sofie Camp, took second out of 11 bands, with Cherry Creek High School taking first. Its next march is this coming Saturday, Aug. 22 in Pueblo and will be lead by junior Alyssa Boje.
