Over Spring Break, members of Mountain Vista’s Golden Silhouettes, Goldtones and Men’s Choir had the opportunity to travel to New York to sing at Carnegie Hall.
“The performance went extremely well, all of the choirs sounded beautiful,” senior Maddie Deering said. “It was an honor to stand on a stage where many of the greatest performers of all time have performed.”
Aside from this performance, the students also went to various famous landmarks around the city.
“We saw the Statue of Liberty, Ground Zero Memorial, Times Square, and ate at Ellen’s Stardust Diner, among other things,” Deering said. “My favorite thing [we did] was attend the Broadway musical ‘Anastasia’ opening week.”
The students spent five days in New York, they returned to school Tuesday, March 28.
