Colorado fashion week is full of opportunities for designers to show off some of their work and build the Colorado fashion industry. Student Lexi Burbey, 12, was a runway model for the show. “It was a lot of fun! It’s a big adrenaline rush and you’re scared to mess up but once you’re out there it’s a blast,” Burbey said.
Burbey modeled a couple different looks, but, when it comes to favorites she had a clear winner. “My favorite look to model was the jewelry from Shane and CO because it was awesome to be wearing such valuable pieces,” Burbey said. The jewelry she was sporting was so valuable that she had to have a body guard surrounding her at all times. “Basically it was just fun to wear all of the jewels I will probably never be able to afford,” Burbey joked.
Burbey plans to go to college in California or New York, two places that are known for fashion and modeling careers. Modeling is something Burbey has always been interested in and hopes to pursue in the future.
