2.Brenda Lee’s “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree.” By the song’s 50th anniversary in 2008, it had sold over 25 million copies. “I like Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree, because it reminds me of a scene in Home Alone,” sophomore Kate Laurent said. In December 1965, the song reached number 3 on the top billboard charts.
3.Nat King Cole “The Christmas Song (Merry Christmas to You).” Nat King Cole was a jazz pianist and vocalist. This song is featured in the movie Catch me if you can. He wrote this song during the summer in efforts to stay cool by thinking cool
4.Bobby Helms “Jingle Bell Rock.” Bobby Helms is the original singer of Jingle Bell Rock. “I think [Jingle Bell Rock] is an upbeat Christmas song that reminds people of the christmas spirit,” sophomore Priya Kodenkandath said. Ever since 1975 Jingle bell rock has been aired during the holiday.
5.Jose Feliciano “Feliz Navidad.” On January 7, 2017 Jose Feliciano’s song hit #44 on the top 100 hot tracks. Many popular singers have covered this song such as Michael Buble featuring Thalía and Celine Dion, as well as been aired on the hit tv show Glee.
