One’s favorite NFL team can change throughout the years for multiple reasons; you could have moved, jumped on a bandwagon and never got off or you just can not deal with the disappointment of loss every season.
For as long as I can remember, I have been a Denver Broncos fan and I will never give up on them. You could say I bleed orange and blue, but this past season is not one Bronco fans will want to remember.
The Broncos ended the 2016-17 season with a 9-7 record and fell to 3rd in the AFC West. Many fans choose to put the blame on a rookie quarterback, the entire offensive line or the whole team as a whole.
Although the Broncos will not receive an opportunity to test their luck in the playoffs, I still feel proud of them. Yes, it is sad to not have your favorite team in the playoffs, but we are still on a high from Super Bowl 50 and ended the season with a 24-6 win against the Oakland Raiders, which is something to be proud of. It was a good game to end with and especially a good game to send off Coach Kubiak.
Now that the season is over, the Denver Broncos can focus on next season. We need a new head coach, we need to rethink our offensive structure and we should look back on Trevor Siemian’s first starting season in the NFL to see what he can improve on.
Broncos, you will always be number one in my eyes.
