Littleton Police say a student at Heritage High School was arrested after weapons were found in his car.
The 18-year-old was arrested before the start of school Tuesday. Police reported that an acquaintance of the suspect made school officials aware of a firearm inside the vehicle, prompting a search.
No students were threatened during the incident, and the firearm was never brought into the school.
The student faces a charge for possession of a weapon on school grounds, which is a class six felony.
The student’s name has not been released.
