TARA O’GORMAN
Ben Stiller directs and stars in the intense romantic thriller, “The Secret Life of Walter Mitty” in which Mitty finds himself in the middle of a volcano, battles a shark and hikes up the Himalayas to find a photographer. The movie started out with Mitty’s life having no adventure or path.. When he realized this, he was motivated to travel the world to find the missing photo. This movie was a movie to go into with an open mind. It is definitely a movie where people sit on the edge of their seat while also including a lot of different genres for different people.
There were many mixed reviews on this movie, but I really enjoyed the way it turned out. The first comment I made after the movie was, “That was one of the best movies that I have seen in a long time.” My popcorn was a little bit chilled since I could not take my eyes off of the movie.
The way the movie went was something unexpected. There was a lot of different camera angles that framed the movie in a very ethical way. As a person that cannot sit still for more than an hour, I stayed still for the whole movie because I was so intrigued.
I enjoyed how thoughtful the movie was. The producers thought of every little detail in advance. There were steps that were close then Mitty’s whole mission would have to be aborted due to his boss.
I give this movie two thumbs up. If you are debating on seeing this movie, then you shouldn’t be debating because you should already be driving to buy a movie ticket. Trust me, you will get your money worth.
