Mountain Vista’s 2017 Wish Kid, Super K (or Kenyan, his secret identity), came to Vista with one wish: to meet superheroes. Little did he know that he’d get to be one of the very superheroes he wanted to meet.

Super K’s heroics started immediately after the assembly with an interview from Iron Man himself.

  • Super K gets an interview from an ABC 7 News reporter dressed as Iron Man.

Before doing anything else though, he had to stop for a snack with Student Leadership in the main gym. He later reported that his favorite part of the day was the doughnut he ate then.

After Super K refueled, he took to the hallways with StudLe.

After greeting Vista students left and right, they finally arrived at the office where Super K would complete his first mission: be the principal.

The juniors of StudLe took over and led him to the upper and lower 400s.

Then it was down to the lower 500s with the sophomores to play some basketball.

They took to the halls once more to greet students and make their way to the auditorium.

Super K and his entourage braved the cold and continued on to the middle school.

  • Sophomore Maya Winslow and senior Sam Atlas carry Super K, bundled up, to the middle school.

  • A lucky seventh grade class meets Super K.

  • Clarke introduces Super K to the lunchroom.

  • Super K meets with the principal of Mountain Ridge, Shannon Clarke.

  • The group enters the school and Super K is eager to get out and meet new faces.

All good things must come to an end though. Super K went out to his personal limo with his family to head back home.

  • Super K smiles as he boards his limo, knowing that he’ll be back on Saturday, Jan. 28, for the basketball game to see his friends again.
