In the past, Mountain Vista cheer has entered into the national competition feeling confident about their season and this year is no different. Moving past their surprising upset  at state where the team came in ninth place, they believe they still have good chances at placing in the top ten at nationals.

The upset has made the team work even harder with practices every day and performances to show off their new routine. It has also taught the team they won’t always be the best.

According to Coach Cooper, “Our strengths are in tumbling, stunting, and energy, but we have been over-thinking and becoming frustrated when we can’t let things go. We have made our routine harder and it will hopefully pay off.”

“It’s hard to think of this as all of the seniors’ last competition, but I wouldn’t want to spend my last competition with any other team,” Kenzie Roske, senior said. “Our routine is coming together really well and we’re excited to bring it to Florida.”
