The number one ranked Golden Eagles baseball team traveled to Lakewood High School this afternoon to take on the Tigers. It was Vista’s second game since returning from their tournament in Arizona.

The Golden Eagles got on the board early in the top of the second inning with a solo home run from senior Patrick Holton. Senior Grant Magill would later drive in two more runs for Vista in the same inning.

In the fourth inning, senior Drew Stahl hit a sac-fly to bring in Vista’s fourth run of the game.

Senior Clay Burke and freshman Tyler Mejia sealed the deal for Vista, both of them shutting down the Tigers’ offense and only allowing three hits. Vista beat Lakewood, 4-0.

The team will travel to Cherry Creek next Tuesday, Mar. 26, to take on the third ranked Bruins.
