On April 19th, eight Vista seniors competed to win the ultimate title of “Mr. Vista” during the annual Mr. Vista pageant during Prom Week. To win, senior boys were judged by math teacher Brian Wood and P.E. teacher Mike Willahan in three categories: biography, talent, and a questionnaire. After a tough fight for the crown, senior Johnny Desrosiers won the esteemed title, with the runners-up being seniors Ryan Tubbs and Tristan Smith
“It was so much fun to be a part of Mr. Vista alongside some pretty hilarious acts! It’s activities like these that make the vista community awesome to be a part of,” Desrosiers said. “My favorite part of preparing for Mr. Vista was learning the dance alongside my two sisters, who are scary good at the Hoedown Throwdown.” Desrosiers performed his rendition of Hannah Montana’s “Hoedown Throwdown” for the talent portion and received wide praise from the audience.
