Mountain Vista’s Men’s Varsity Soccer team begun their season Thursday night, hosting Ft. Collins High School at Shea Stadium. Unfortunately for Vista, Ft. Collins took home a 2-0 victory.
From kickoff, the Golden Eagles struggled to maintain possession of the ball and had very few attempts to take a shot on goal. The Lambkins constantly put pressure on the Golden Eagles, and kept the ball in Vista territory for majority of the game.
Ft. Collins came up with their first goal of the game in the 22nd minute, heading the ball into the lower left corner of the goal. Their second goal was scored in the 60th minute off a well executed free kick outside the 18-yard line.
Mountain Vista will play at Boulder High School in Boulder this next Tuesday, looking for their first win of the season.
