With the school year coming to a close, Simon Pozder, 11, reflects on his journey so far. “It’s going well,” he said. “Classes are hard, but I think that’s expected.”
Moving into his senior year of high school at Mountain Vista, Pozder remains the valedictorian of the 2018 class. “It’s something I have wanted for a long time,” Pozder said. Pozder is also involved in activities outside of academics. “I play Vista tennis during the fall and I’m also involved in Technology Student Alliance (TSA),” Pozder said. “They’re important parts of my life.”
Progressing through high school, Pozder’s experiences have shown different from what he anticipated. “I was a little discouraged at the beginning of the year because classes were a bit harder than I thought they’d be,” Pozder said. “Halfway through the semester I got into it and I knew what I had to do.”
