On January 6, the varsity mens Basketball team hosted Fountain Fort Carson High School in a non-league game. The Golden Eagles were dominant throughout the entire game leading the Trojans at the end of each quarter. Mountain Vista defeated Fountain-Fort Carson 74-54.
The varsity team is now 2-0 since coming back from Winter Break.
“It [felt] great after that win,” senior Miles Hughes said. “We were able to put on a show for the fans and be able to not have to worry about whether [the game] was gonna come down to the wire.”
Hughes helped lead the team, scoring 15 points with five three-pointers for the Golden Eagles.
