Twenty members of Family Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) will be attending the 2016 state competition Thursday, March 31. Last year, three students qualified for nationals in different events.
Members look to get a chance to qualify for nationals again this year, by participating in many individual and team events ranging from cooking to fashion.
“I’m excited to show my skills in the cooking competition and hopefully I place,” senior Lauren Bigner said.
For seniors, it is a chance to make a lasting memory in their final months of high school.
“I’m looking forward to hanging out with friends and just making memories before we leave for college,” senior officer Paige Mawhinney said.
“It’s my last state competition so we hopefully we do well and everyone does well with their projects,” senior officer Pranathi Durgempudi said. “It’s a good time.”
Good Luck FCCLA!
