Mountain Vista’s varsity men’s soccer team proved their resilience all season long. Despite all obstacles and adversaries, the boys fought their way into the finals. On November 14 the boys took on Broomfield, the defending state champions, at Dick Sporting Good’s Park. Although they went home with a loss, for the majority of the game Vista held their own, keeping the score tied up until the last second of regulation playing time. The Golden Eagles lost 2-1 in overtime bringing Vista from the 28th seed in the state to the second overall.
