The Technology Student Association (TSA) chapter at Mountain Vista competed at the 2015 TSA National Conference in Dallas, Texas from June 28 to July 2.
“The kids put in many hours preparing their projects for the trip,” Advisor Kent Allison said.
Of the 15 students that traveled to Dallas, six of them placed. They ranked:
- 2nd place in the Nation in Architectural Renovation: Elizabeth Chengrian, Cassandra English, Aubrey Harrison, Luke Johnson, Claire Liu, and Amy Zhong.
- 2nd place in the Nation in Promotional Graphics: Claire Liu.
- 4th in the Nation in Technology Problem Solving: Elizabeth Chengrian and Aubrey Harrison.
Luke Johnson also received a $3500 Memorial Scholarship.
“We had many great competitors that fought hard against a tough group of kids from around the nation and world,” Allison said, “We have an amazing school and amazing kids. I can’t wait for a new year.”
