Unified Basketball had their first game on Wednesday Jan. 7, against a tough competitor, the South Ridge Nuggets. Vista fought a tough battle but ended up losing 47-62.
“They played really well, they all worked together and it was a lot of fun. South Ridge had some really good players but we did really well against them and it was unfortunate that we lost,” junior Mary-Katherine Peet said.
Unified basketball is about more than the score however, “Watching [the players] have fun makes me happy because the little things make them happy and that’s really how all of us should live,” Peet said.
