As finals near, many students are scrambling to get the grades they want. Follow these three key pieces of advice to aid studying.
Focus on your school work.
Mr. Monnet advises students to put electronics and phones away while studying. Eliminating distractions will help concentration and focus.
Take advantage of opportunities in school.
Teachers are available during SOAR on Wednesdays and Thursday to help students with the corresponding subjects. Also, math lab is every Tuesday after school from 3-4 in L421. Math lab offers help with homework or studying. Students who need a little extra help in writing should check out the Writing Lab in L521 during periods 1-6.
Use websites that can help with homework.
Khanacademy.org is a free website to help students with many subjects. Podcasts and videos are often used to teach concepts. Slader.com is similar to Khan Academy. It is a free website that supplies not only solutions to problems, but the steps needed to reach the solution too. These websites can be beneficial to aid studying if used correctly.
