To mark the The halfway point of Wish Week, on Wednesday, Feb. 5, students dressed as mad scientists to complement both Carter’s interest in science and a collective interest driving us mad. We had people in Hazmat suits, mad scientists, and a lot of hair with “unnatural” tendencies. There were incredible costumes that made the day memorable.
Besides the incredible science, there appears to be a refreshing lack of homework which allowed plenty of students to attend the Ice Hockey game and the free skating event after the hockey game. Many people: new and old showed up and had a blast. In the end, both events sent an icy blast of fun down spines and was a chance for our Varsity team to freeze the competition. It ended up being a heartbreaker with Cherry Creek scoring in the final two seconds. Go Eagles – a hard-fought and exciting game for Wish Week.
We’ve also had our restaurant nights at Yogurtland, Canes, and Snarfs making a delectable night. As always, a portion of the food purchased went to support the Make-A-Wish foundation. A big thank you to all who went!
With another busy and fun day complete, students need to prepare to leave port tomorrow with the “Let’s Set Sail” dress-up day. Bring those captain hats and dress up with an underwater theme to go 1,000 leagues under the sea! Just watch out for those pesky icebergs!
