Tuesday, Oct. 1 was the Battle of the Ancient Gods day and the student body was all in. Clothing colors were assigned to each level (Seniors where in white for Zeus, Juniors wore blue for Poseidon, Sophomores were in yellow for Apollo and Freshman were in red for Aphrodite). After school the events started up. There was a JV mens soccer game at Highlands Ranch with a victory for Vista, 4-0. At the school, later that evening was the Chili Cookoff followed by Mr. Vista in the big gym. MVTV had spent the last few weeks building up the excitement for the event by running video clips during the prior weeks. The contestants walked down the runway for a formal introduction at the start of the event. Then they proceeded to compete in 4 events, all leading up to the final tabulation for the winner. Sean Balfv won the student vote and Holden Hayes won the faculty vote. The day finished with the Fireworks that ran from 8:15 to 8:21.
