In the first round of playoffs, varsity ice hockey took on Stanley Lake on Wednesday, Feb. 26 at South Suburban Ice Rink. One minute into the start of the game, senior Jake Smith scored. With Vista in the lead, the first period ended at a score of 3-0. Sophomore Jacob Strawn shot and scored within seconds of the second period starting. Stanley Lake then scored with 4:34 remaining in the third period, leaving the final score, Vista 6, Stanley Lake, 1. 

Vista Hockey played Regis for a neutral playoff game at Big Bear Ice Arena at 1:15 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 28.
