Senior night was held before women’s varsity lacrosse’s game against Regis Jesuit High School. Acknowledged during the pregame ceremony were Vista seniors Taylor Donaldson and Hallie Marker as well as ThunderRidge seniors Bronwyn Thomas and Kathryn Fair.

“I have been playing lacrosse for 9 years and it has become the focal point of my life by keeping me occupied and in shape,” Donaldson said. “It is what I love to do.”

Donaldson and Marker both completed their last year as team captains, however, this was not their last year playing this sport. Both girls signed with different colleges to play Division II lacrosse. Marker signed with Fort Lewis College as a mid-fielder while Donaldson signed with the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs as the attack.

“When I first started playing this sport it was just for fun and I did not realize I could get opportunities like this,” Marker said. “What ultimately made me decide to play in college was the fact that I would be able to branch, meet new people and continue playing the sport I love.”

After a competitive game against Regis,  the Vista and ThunderRidge combined team lost to the Raiders, 8-11.
