Vista’s JV and varsity women’s swim and dive teams competed against Chaparral High School on Jan. 10. The varsity team defeated the Wolverines, 162-112, placing a massive lead. JV also won, 146-111.
In addition to winning the meet, several of the girls made major improvements to their times.
“I have been practicing really hard and working on pacing during the warm-up sets,” senior Riley Davis said. “[I dropped] about 25 seconds in the 500 free. It felt great because I haven’t swum that event in a while and I didn’t think I would do that well because I haven’t been training for it.”
The team’s next meet is against Regis Jesuit High School on Jan. 15 at Northridge Rec Center.
