Vista’s unified soccer team traveled to Chaparral High School on Sept. 10 to play the Wolverines in their fourth game of the season.
Both teams took turns shooting on their opposing team’s goal, encouraging each other after a player scored.
During halftime, the fun continued for the players as both teams gathered for a quick dance party on the field. Chaparral’s cheerleaders led the players in cheers after the dance party ended.
“The game was great,” senior coach Aubyn Snyder said. “I [loved] how inclusive everyone was, even the people on [Chaparral].”
Vista ended up losing to the Wolverines, 15-11. The Golden Eagles’ next game is at Shea Stadium against ThunderRidge on Sept. 17, prior to Vista’s powder puff game between the junior and senior classes. Game time is at 5 p.m.
