Mountain Vista midfielder, Haley Schueppert, was named the 5A Girls Soccer Player of the Year. Schueppert helped lead the Golden Eagles to the State Championship against Arapahoe this season, defeating them by a score of 3-1.
“This title is simply a representation for the amazing experiences that have come throughout the four years I have played at Vista. Great teams make great players, and my team’s accomplishments this year will never be forgotten,” Schueppert said.
Schueppert and her teammate Katie Joella were named to the Girls All-State First Team. Avery Adams was named to the Girls All-State Second Team and Mia Bonifazi received an honorable mention.
Schueppert will be attending Clemson University this Fall continuing her soccer career.
