JORDAN MACARTHUR
Only four games into the season, the JV basketball had already gotten their name known. They sparked themselves up a three game winning streak, which left them good candidates to win the Continental League title. Head Coach Brian Wood said the team’s main goal is to be the first JV team to win Continental league.
As the season is nearing it’s end, JV basketball has kept up the success. They play rival ThunderRidge tonight Feb. 19.
“This is my last game ever and as a captain I’m really excited! I love how fast paced our game is and I’m excited to beat them.” junior Gannon Rushall said.
“I’m so excited to play them. They are a good team and we will all be so hype for the game because it’s ThunderRidge and we obviously will want to beat them.” junior Mason Folz said.
Being on wish week, the team is predicting that many of people will show their support by not only coming to the games but purchasing and wearing their wish week shirts.
“Last years game was so crazy fun. I think we have the potential this year that it will be even better.” Folz said.
“We really run teams down to the ground and it’s really fun. I love when we are playing really good. I just really want to beat them, they hacked the media twitter account, they tee-peed our school and we’re going to pay them back!” Rushall said.
