New York Jets quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick shaved his infamous beard early last week explaining that it was “time for a change”. Let me tell you he was right. The Jets had been on a downward spiral from their 4-1 start to the season. Before this past week they had lost their last four games making them 5-5.
Fitzpatrick was right to change up the mojo and the football gods must have noticed as well. With the football gods on our side and a new and improved Fitzpatrick, it was no wonder that the Jets were able to dominate rival Miami Dolphins in their game Sunday morning.
Fitzpatrick threw six touchdown passes making it the most touchdown passes of the season for the quarterback and proving that he was the right choice for the Jets when Geno Smith got hurt.
With only five games left in the regular season including the New England Patriots and former head coach Rex Ryan’s Buffalo Bills, the Jets do not have an easy next five weeks. If they want any chance of a playoff run they have to keep up the winning streak.
