Could the most anticipated album of 2013 be a movie soundtrack?
Maybe. Famous music artist, Jay-Z, was picked to make the soundtrack for the upcoming Baz Luhrmann film, The Great Gatsby. And he chose quite a lot of other popular artists to take part in the creation including Beyoncé, André 3000, Gotye, Nero, The XX, Emeli Sande, The Bryan Ferry Orchestra, will.i.am, Sia, Fergie, Q-Tip, Lana Del Rey, Florence and the Machine, and more.
Fans have been expressing constant excitement praising songs with words like, “Perfect,” “Beautiful,” and “Oscar-winning material.”
Even students at Vista are looking forward to the music sensation the film has created. “I’m so excited for this it’s not even healthy” Aparna Krishnaswama, junior said.
“I am so looking forward to this,” Natalie Hoagland, junior said. “How much longer until it comes out?”
The songs written for the film have already been bought by countless fans. Lana Del Rey’s song “Young and Beautiful” has a completely full iTunes popularity bar.
The full soundtrack for The Great Gatsby will be released May 7 both in stores and on iTunes.
