On Tuesday Jan. 28, the seniors of Vista’s Women Swim team geared up for their last regular season swim meet. The senior night meet entailed a series of emotional speeches, gifts and the commemoration of the legacy that the graduating class has made on the team.
“The senior meet went really well, the whole team had a lot of energy since we were going against our rival ThunderRidge and we were all cheering for each other,” Josie Martus, 12, said.
Underclassmen prepared for the night by making posters for their fellow teammates and purchasing an accompanying bouquet. Coach Rob Nasser called each senior to the front of the Northridge Recreation Center Pool, sharing heartfelt stories and memories about each swimmer.
