Student of the Week: Paxton Boyer

Student of the Week is a series designed to help everyone at Mountain Vista High School learn more about their fellow classmates. This week: Junior Paxton Boyer

Eagle Eye: What’s your full name?

EE: Where were you born?

PB: Littleton, Colorado.

EE: What is your favorite color?

PB: Air Force Blue.

EE: What is something people don’t know about you?

PB: God is the biggest part of my life.

EE: What religion would you identify as?

PB: Christain.

EE: Can you describe your relationship with God?

PB: He is my everything. He is my rock. He is my father.

EE: What do you do in your free time?

PB: I do lacross, I lift weights and I write books and short stories.

EE: What is the most interesting thing that has happened to you at school?

PB: Taking the lacrosse team and helping make it into one of the best in the state.

EE: What do you plan to do after high school?

PB: I’m going to the Air Force Academy to play lacrosse.IMG952521

EE: What got you interested in lacrosse?

PB: I’ve just been playing since I was little and I fell in love.

EE: Can you describe what it is like to be on the field playing?

PB: There is nothing like it. Everything is coming at you slow. Everything is in tunnel vision. It makes you feel complete in your heart and you know that you are doing something bigger than yourself.

EE: What are your goals in lacrosse?

PB: To win a national championship in college and a state championship in high school.

EE: What was the process of getting into the Air Force Academy for lacrosse like?

PB: It was a long and hard recruiting process. They reached out to me and then came to watch me play. Then I talked to them and they offered me to go so I pulled the trigger.

EE: How long do you plan on playing lacrosse?

PB: All throughout college and I’m not sure after that. Maybe I’ll coach. We’ll see.

EE: What is your most memorable moment from lacrosse.

PB: The phone call to make the commitment to the Air Force Academy or beating Kent Denver in the Mile High Classic.
